Nel 1939 il fotografo Piero Vasconi ritrae una modella in posa nella magnifica cornice del Grand Hotel Villa d'Este a Cernobbio sul lago di Como. Nella foto uno splendido abito con mantello, erano i tempi d'esordio delle sfilate di alta moda che attiravano i facoltosi clienti da tutta Europa. Purtroppo i venti della seconda guerra mondiale erano nell'aria, e i sogni di molti furono interrotti da un tremendo risveglio.

In 1939 the photographer Piero Vasconi portrays a model posing in the magnificent setting of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este in Cernobbio Lake Como. In the picture a beautiful dress with cape, were the times debut the fashion shows that attracted wealthy clients from all over Europe. Unfortunately, the winds of the second World War were in the air, and the dreams of many were interrupted by a terrible awakening.
